How do I store nemaslug slug killer?

Nemaslug is a living product, containing millions of tiny nematodes. To keep the product in its best condition, you are recommended to place the entire pack in a refridgerator until you are ready to use them. Ideally they should be used within a few weeks of receipt.

What's wrong with traditonal treatments?

The traditional methods all have one fatal flaw, they work by attracting slugs! Of course this means that if you get the dose wrong you end up having attracted all the slugs in the area but have not enough pellets to kill them.

Ther are other significant issues with slug pellets, such as:

They're dangerous to humans and animals if eaten

They're not organic

They only affect slugs above ground

They don't work after heavy rain

Requires frequent re-application

What happens if it rains after application?

Unlike traditional slug control methods nemaslug is not affected by heavy rain unlike slug pellets and other chemical controls. Nemaslug uses a living nematode that occurs naturally in the soil. As it is a living creature it is not washed away by rain, however heavy.

How to apply nemaslug

It is easy to apply nemalsug, using just a standard watering can. Full instructions are on the pack, but it is simply a case of mixing the Nemaslug Slug Killer with water in the watering can and then watering the affected area.

Note:Although Nemaslug can be applied directly to plants without any damaging effects, the nematodes need to be washed into the soil to work, it is therefore recommended Nemaslug is applied directly to the soil.

Why use Nemaslug?

Nemaslug is a highly effective alternative to chemicals. Not only is it chemical free and organic but it doesn't exhibit any of the problems associated with traditional slug control methods.

What is Nemaslug Slug Killer?

Nemaslug Slug Killer is a relatively new treatement for the control and erradication of slugs from gardens. It utilises a naturally occuring parasitic nematode which seeks out and destroys slugs.

Unlike traditional treatments that require the slug to ingest a poison, the nematodes locate the slugs and then enter their bodies without the slug even having to come above ground. As a result, the slugs with frequently die underground and out of sight, leaving your vegetables unharmed..
